Free Bar Soap

Good Morning all...
I had heard that Safeway was clearancing the 3-bar bundles of Suave bar soap for 69¢ and if you use the 75¢ c/o from 4/3 Valassis, it would be free. Well, I found it at my Safeway, but it was 89¢--my Safeway doubles so it was free. Check your local Safeway--even if they do not double, it is still a good deal.

I was able to get (8) 3-bar bundles for free. No tax really since they doubled my coupons and I got a full $1 off each bundle.


I should have quite enough soap considering I found the 8 bar Suave soap for the final cost of 50¢ using the $1.50 off c/o's I had. (That deal was at K-mart)...


Once I have tasted "free" on something, it is really hard to pay! LOL

A Delayed Post/Mega Deal

Hello.
Being so very busy these days, I was unable to post this at the beginning of the week. But, I wanted you to know that these deals are out there and very much attainable.

I did the "Unilever $10 off your order" deal through Safeway.
I got 10 jars of Ragu at$1.50 a jar plus I had the Ragu organic sauce coupons. (I was unsure whether I could use them, but they accepted them no problem.) 10 jars @ $1.50= $15.00 less $10 in double coupons, less $10 automatic deduction for buying 10 Unilever products. I had numerous "free" protein bar coupons and I think the checker probably took off too much for those. I left paying 40¢ for 10 jars Ragu, a book of stamps and 2 gallons of milk and protein bars.
My receipt showed savings of 100%.

My Latest Deals-a mini spree!

I had an interesting lesson myself last night at one of my grocery stores.

I did have a number of things that were on “free” last night…translation: sale + coupon/doubled= FREE. When I was ready to check out, the only available lane was with a manager. I have to be honest. I was leery. I was on my guard. Ready to explain and defend. But, the pleasant surprise was, I did not have to. In fact, the manager commended me on my savings, showed the next customer in line that I got 99% savings and said he had no problem whatsoever because they got all the money back from the manufacturer. I was totally impressed.

The customer behind me said “I am going to tell me wife and she is going to feel pretty stupid for throwing all those coupons away!” I left the store laughing my head off. My daughter ( a coupon princess in training) was ecstatic…giddy in fact.

Here's What We Got

• (20) 64 oz light Tropicana juice
• 7 Soft Soap hand soap
• 3 containers of Duncan Hines Whipped Frosting
• a Slim Jim for my youngest, which was 99¢ so my total was $1.01. If I hadn’t gotten the Slim Jim, it would have been 2 cents.

We really didn't break a sweat on this trip. As I said, this was a mini-spree. I love this. I am able to care for my family in such a greater way and I am teaching my children to be givers as we donate excess to charity.

God has truly blessed our family. And we try every chance we can to pass on the blessings.

My Latest Deals

I went by King Soopers and Safeway last night to get a few things. Mainly at Safeway, the Duncan Hines Whipped Frosting that is on "free" until May 17th. It's $10 for 10 or $1 each, use 50¢ c/o which our Safeway doubles to a $1-Voila! Free frosting.

I had a few stray coupons like Tropicana 64 oz juice free after 50¢ doubled to $1, Softsoap Handsoap on "free" after 50¢ c/o is doubled. Johnson's Buddies Gripper Bar Soap 99¢, on "free" after 50¢ c/o is doubled. I found 1 lb Foster Farms Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, unsliced, 1 lb, with orange $2 off stickers, 2 stickers per package=$4 off. One package cost me 69¢ and the other was more than a lb and cost me $2.05. Total price for over 2 lbs of smoked Turkey Breast was $2.74.
King Soopers had some markdown Honey Cured Ham sliced meat for $1.50 each. Normally well over $3 a package. All in all, pretty good deals for not really trying.

The most important thing for me to remember is to have a wide variety of coupons in my coupon binder so that I can be prepared for anything that might be on clearance, markdown or maybe an unadvertised store special. Do you know how frustrating it is to have to go back home, hunt down a coupon, sit and clip and then race to the store to obtain a "killer" deal? I have done it. It's a pain. But, if I have the coupons in my binder already...it makes it very easy and oh, so very sweet. God is good!

Using one of the Johnson and Johnson$1 c/o, I got the Johnson Buddies Gripper Soap Bars for 29¢. The girl tried to say that I hadn't bought the product, because it didn't look like the little picture. But the machine scanned it no problem and of course the wording said ANY.
Why does this throw so many checkers off the track?

6.5 Gallons Milk for $2.00

How on earth did I manage to get six and a half gallons of milk for $2? Well, I always look for markdowns in grocery stores. I am always blessed enough to get what I call a "sweep" of a certain department in the grocery store. Sometimes it might be the meat department. Other days, it might be produce. Today...was a Dairy Sweep. Horizon milk, 1/2 gallons marked down to $1. Well, I just happened to have 55¢ off any Horizon Milk which they doubled to $1. FREE milk. And I was able to find gallons of Viva milk for $1. 9 half gallons=free plus 2 gallons at $2 total.
Some people may say..EWWWW it might be bad. I happened to know that a lot of time, someone in dairy is overzealous in their ordering and end up with 24 cases of milk and, it goes bad if left on the shelf too long---hence, a good deal for me. I am very grateful.
