Friday Notes

Please read this and check your freezers if you stocked up on this product!

WASHINGTON -- The government says ConAgra Foods is recalling more than 85,000 pounds of its Banquet frozen chicken breast strips because they may contain pieces of metal. Missouri-based ConAgra and the U.S. Department of Agriculture have both received consumer complaints -- but no injury reports. The chicken was packaged on July 20, 21 and 27 and distributed to retail stores nationwide. All packages bear the code P-107

  • King Soopers (Kroger family of stores)-Cashiers have had to sign off on memos regarding the acceptance of 3 like coupons per order. You can have them ring up individual orders, but no more 5,7,10, 12 coupons for a like item in one order. *sigh* Okay, I will play the game their way. No problem.

Conquests of the Day!

Hello...a quick entry before slumber...
I hit the virtual jackpot at King Soopers today when bag after bag of salad mixes from Caesar Salad kits to Spinach Trios to Almond Cranberry salad kits where marked down for quick sale to 99¢. Of course, I had 50¢ coupons doubles to $1=free salad x 6. I ran out of coupons so I paid 99 ¢ for 6 various bags of salad kits.

On to the frozen food, Boca Burgers on sale got them for the final price of $1.50 each and by buying 4 I got a free insulated lunch bag plus when I send in 4 UPC 's I will get a coupon for a free box of any Boca product.

Got 9 boxes of Hamburger Helper (actually Chicken Helper) for $1 a box less $3 in coupons plus 7 boxes had a coupon good for free Golden Layers biscuits.

That's it for today...

Wednesday, one of my favorite days!

The average person would ask "Why Wednesday? Hump day?" Naw...the new grocery ads break on Wednesday! (Tuesday night online if you are really anxious!)

Visions of new deals, double plays, triple plays dance in my head. Anticipation of sales to match with coupons held tightly for that perfect sale. When I look at ads, my mind automatically clicks to whether I have a coupon and computes the price. When you have done this coupon adventure as long as I have, it is just habit. Even if I had a million $$$, I would still be "coupon crazy."

Deals I have spotted in the ads for this week:
~~~~~~~ King Soopers ~~~~~
(Buy any 4 Nabisco Kraft product in ad and receive insulated lunch bag, FREE!)
  1. Honey Bunches of Oats $1.88 less $1 c/o off 2 Post cereals
  2. Boca Meatless Entrees 4/$10 less 75¢ doubles to $1=4/$6=$1.50 ea(Save 16 proofs for 4 free products with rebate form exp 9/30/04)
  3. Nabisco Variety Pack $3.99 (Use the $2 off Nabisco Variety Pack plus 2 other participating Kraft products coupon found in stores not inserts)
~~~~~~~~Safeway~~~~~~~~~

  1. Hamburger Helper 5 boxes for $5 (Use 75¢/3 in SS 8/8/04) = 70¢ a box

As I find more deals to post, you will be the first to know. Now, Go Forth and Save! :-)

It's My Friday!

Good Morning!
It's been a rough couple days...but hey...I made it to "My Friday!" (I work outside the home and my days off are Wed and Thurs) I am SO ready for 2 days off! I can devote most of my time to the website.
And I can scout for deals!

The online ads for the grocery stores come out tonight so I will peruse them and if any exceptional bargains jump out at me, I'll post them here in the "daily" before I go to sleep.

Well, I am off to see the wizard....er I mean, get ready for work. To tell you the truth, I'd rather be "doing the deals and couponing!"
Please, visit the site and place an order today. Thanks in advance!

It's Saturday, already?

  • Found at Walmart -Trial Size Ziploc containers (I believe there are 2-3 in a package) Use the $1 off (non Blinkie-foldout type) coupon and pay 22¢ plus tax. I found these coupons in King Soopers right near the nearly free DixieWare containers we got last week and at Grocery Warehouse.
  • Received coupon (redeemable only at Kmart) back already for free disposable camera (up to 8.99) for the 2 clearasil UPC numbers and Kmart receipt. If anyone needs a form I have an extra.
As I find more deals and specials, you will be the first to know.
Thanks for visiting and please, keep coming back!

Today's Deals

Today was an average deal day. I mean, I didn't have TV crews following me on a shopping spree or anything.
Nothing spectacular, but to me anytime I can get some for free or nearly free, it is cause for joy!

I have had some hard times in my life so I really do not take anything for granted. (I try not to anyway!)

It was "take the 2 boys to Walmart" for a haircut day. Oh joy! Well, it went well until the time for checkout! Then the slugfest!

I managed to get out of Walmart for under $8 with the fixin' for chili dogs (I got 49¢ hotdogs last night), 4 free Lady Schick deodorants using my $1 off's (they were on sale for $2 for 2). Like I said, it was not a trip that set my heart pumping like some have but trust me, I am grateful for every deal I get.

After recovering from being in Walmart with all three children in tow and vehementely saying "No!" to every request, I went to Safeway to take advantage of the milk sale 2 gallons for $5. Even a gallon of chocolate milk is on sale this week for $2.50. I found Dannon La Creme 4 pack yogurts for $1.66 each less $1 off's I had = 66¢ each. Also, I got 5 free Rice a Roni Cheeser Pleasers. They are on sale this week for $1 each less the 50¢ coupon recently out, doubled to $1.

Well, that is all for today. See you tomorrow I hope. Remember, Go Forth and Save!
